Ford Transit Connect 1.6 TDCI 75 SID807 Stage 1 Remap

The Stage 1 Remap is designed to run safely on a standard van and does not need any modifications. All variants of the 1.6 TDCI with the Siemens SID807 ECU come fitted with the Garrett GTC1244VZ turbo and the same injectors as the 115 variant, this means the gains on a Stage 1 remap are huge!

The 1.6 TDCI 75 BHP engine ends up around 145BHP and 330Nm on a Stage 1 Remap. This remap is designed to run with the DPF in place and is road legal.

The Stage 1+ remap gives a little bit extra on top of the normal Stage 1 map. For this remap you need to modify the exhaust system to a ‘straight through’ style or a free flowing sports exhaust. The results from this remap are typically up to 350Nm and 150 BHP.

Results: 160 BHP • 365 Nm

We’ve also developed a Stage 2 remap for the 1.6 engine with the Siemens SID807 ECU. This remap will require a larger front mounted intercooler and DPF back exhaust system, this allows us to push power a little further. This remap will run more boost pressure but remains within the safe limit of the turbo. Typical results would be up to 160 BHP and 360 to 370Nm depending on the dyno used.

It’s also an option to fit the GTD1244VZ turbo when you do this remap, the difference is that it uses a billet wheel and on some models you might need to switch the wiring to the turbo position sensor. We can then adjust the VNT pre control settings and you’ll get earlier spool up.

1.6 8V TDCI 75 Stage 3 Remap – GTC1244VZ or GTD1244VZ Hybrid Turbo

Results: 180 BHP • 370 Nm

Our Stage 3 remap uses a 49mm hybrid turbo with 52mm extended tips. You need the upgrades of the stage 2, a stronger clutch and also a 3.5 bar map sensor (contact us if you need the part number). This allows us to run more boost without hitting the limit of the stock 3 bar sensor.

The hybrid turbo is not for everyone, the trade off of much more top end power is that you’re going to lose some low end torque because the larger compressor wheel takes slightly longer to spool up. The extra top end power is definitely a lot of fun though!

Please note: For any Hybrid upgrade you need to use the hybrid turbo built by HDI Tuning, otherwise we will not be able to offer a remap to match the setup. Every turbo is made different and we can’t offer a solution that fits them all, lots of development work is required for a setup like this.

Programming Methods – OBD2 or bench programming

We recommend to use only genuine tuning tools to program the Siemens SID807 over OBD.   • Connect a battery charger to the vehicle battery.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car with MyGenius, follow the on screen instructions to read the ECU.
  • Connect MyGenius to your pc, email the read file to TDCI Tuning with a description of what we need to do for you.
  • We will modify the software and send back to you. Add the file to the device using your computer.
  • Connect a battery charger to the vehicle battery.
  • Connect to the OBD port of your car with MyGenius, follow the on screen instructions to program the remap to the ECU.
  • Let your engine warm up and then take the car for a spin, enjoy the extra power!
