couldnt believe how easy it was to do, had a couple of teething problems with the kwp2000 at first, but Steve was on hand to lend his advice, and finally got it sorted!
The standard 90bhp map was really beginning to get on my nerves, it was painfully slow, had a flatspot at about 3k and was completely out of steam at 4k. Now she really doesnt hang about, the power curve is smooth as silk and she keeps pulling and pulling all the way through the rev range!
Oh, and as an added bonus, the annoying pre injector tick as all but gone!
its totally transformed the car and i love it!
id recommend pro_steve to anyone, really cannot find fault with his service. Absolutely epic results and a turn around in less than 2 hours!

my 306 has gone from a sedate mile muncher, to a mile muncher with a good bit of extra poke should i want/need it.
Thank you very much for your help earlier with the galletto software i wouldn't have been able to get around it without your help with the right software. Your instructions couldnt have been clearer, either.

Im surprised that Steve didn't get annoyed with me asking all the questions I asked.
He was very helpful and when I uploaded my map and went for a drive I found that it was not as quick as
I thought it would so he took the time to make me a map with more power, It turned out to be my maf sensor playing up. After I got that sorted It went like the clappers.
I highly recommend this guy for how quick it takes him to do it and the price is the cheapest ive seen.
I will definately come back for another re-map for my mums 306 when shes wants to have it done.Thanks again mate

Although i haven't got my car set up to peak performance, it still shifts from when i had it standard , Steve was a very helpful chap and should of got annoyed with me from the amount of emaisl that i sent him ..but the man stuck with me and helped me out no end, i recommend this service to any one with a hdi even if they're not into high speed bhp ..in my mine it makes the car safe to drive as you have the power when you want it where you want, it

Comments:" Most other places just put on a standard map that they have on a disk onto your cars ECU, what can damage parts. But Steve custom makes your map so no parts of your car gets damaged and you can select options to have a more controlled launch or have more power at higher revs. Steve mapped my car to be more responsive when I barely touch my accelerator pedal at launch and for my car to be more economical on long journeys, so now I have the best of both worlds! I would highly recommend Steve's mapping service to anyone!! He has changed my 206 90BHP car into a 125BHP mean machine and has given my car a new breath of life!!

Comments:" Another VERY satisfied customer here, emailed steve this morning and took him probably less than 2 hours turn around to get my map back to me. I've just put it on there in less than 5 mins, took it out for a spin and it pulls like a train in every gear, doesn't seem to be any smoke what so ever (saying that my car hasn't been washed for months and can't really see out of the back window anyway lol). Just need to get a decat for it now then stick it on the rollers.
So all in all, a great guy (took time out of his day/night to help me when I was having problems the other day), great service and great value for money. I would highly recommend him for your remaps"

Took the car to him as I wanted to make sure it was was running correctly. Turns out it had a dodgy MAF (earth fault) which we managed to diagnose with a bit of trial and error. Now have the map on the car and it really has transformed it.
The car was gutless as standard, dodgy MAF or not, overtaking being a big pain even in 3rd gear etc. The change in the way it drives is great and the extra boost has become addictive. I can now see my fuel consumption dropping due to feeling the need to floor it everywhere just for the hell of it.
No increase im smoke whatsoever and no slipping clutch (probably more to do with the fact that it isn't on it's last legs).
Steve knows his shit so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. "

Comments:" just some feedback for Steves re-map, i currently have a standard HDI and after seen many positive feedback about stage 1 remaps and how its completely changes the car and all i can say is WOW! it certainly does and i can 110% say steve has done a fantastic job and a awesome map the car pulls VERY well in every gear, cant say i have noticed a increase in smoke either, no clutch slip either all i can say is you wont be disappointed at all if you have a standard HDI.

Comments: " I emailed pro_steve on the 15th asking for a remap, sent him my oe map and paid him by paypal. Obviously allowing for the four day weekend, i had my new map by the evening of 25th. If i'd managed to email him back sooner i'm sure i could have had the file by the evening of the 19th.
It took all of 5 minutes to download onto the ecu via £15 ebay galletto 1260, all sat in comfort in the drivers seat (unlike any other job on this car which usually involves hammers and blow torches)
The difference is impressive. The car feels like it has a totally different engine. Before it was a very tdi shape power curve. flat torque low down, then a 3000 rpm spike of power and torque then just flat to the limiter. There was never any point in reving above 3000 unless you were in top.
Now it revs smoothly from 1500 - 4000 with a linear increase in power all the way :) acceleration is excellent and on twisty b roads you simply don't need to shift as much. When left in third and revved It feels as good as my dads 320d touring s, slightly less all out power but the same refined power curve.
As a bang for the buck mod i don't think pro_steves maps can be beaten. Now i really need to start thinking about upgrading those brakes :)

Comments: " Well after some PM's with Pro_Steve and waiting for my Galleto 1260 to come through i finally plucked up the courage to get a map from him.
With my car past 200000mls we both didn’t know how the car would respond to the re-map!
I emailed Steve on Friday at 10.37 (quite late i know) any way he emailed to say everything had got to him and the file i sent him was right (512Kb file)! I really didn’t expect anything back for a couple of days as it was so late. Half 11 came round and received an email back from him. The attached file where my maps. One map was 115bhp and one the 125bhp map. The reason for the two was the high mileage! If the 125 map made the clutch slip, overload the fuel pump etc etc the 115 map would have to do!
I was a bit nervous playing around with the galleto from horror stories you hear, luckily everything went very well. It’s quite remarkable how easy it is to do! I did have a bit of a scare when i had loaded the map onto the car and a prompt to tell me to turn the car off for 10 seconds was in Italian! (translation sites are a wonderful thing sometimes!!). As it was very late by the time I’d done this (12:30) I thought id just test the map out to see if any of the problems we had discussed would rear there head!! From the first time I pulled off the curb outside my house it was noticeable that there was a big difference, the main one was how smooth the car felt whilst changing gear, before it used to judder a bit. I thought that the best place to test the clutch slip was on a bypass (only 2mins away). I did two tests just to make sure. One test was in 3rd gear the other one was in 4th, both starting at around 1400rpms. I was very very surprised with the difference in power over standard! I couldn’t believe the difference. Before the car would more or less stop giving power at 3100rpms but now it just keeps going!!! No clutch slip no cutting out everything was perfect!

Comments: " Went to see Steve on the 9th of April with a view to development testing his economy map on a 306. Have spent the last week testing this economy map for him, and what can i say, the results are stunning. Bearing in mind the map is optimised for motorway mpg and my commute is only about 30% motorway, the increase in mpg was way above what i expected. Before mapping i was averaging somewhere around the 50mpg mark (she really needs a service), but in the last week since the map i have been achieving 60-65mpg..!! Once i've fixed my injectors and given her a good service, i'd expect to be making 65mpg easily on every trip, based on my experience so far. "

Comments: " i came across pro_steve and after a few e-mails sent him my original map and he got straight to work and within no time sent me a modified map back (estimated 130bhp) which i uploaded via the kwp2000+ which instantly changed the car!i then sent him back some readings that i got off a diag (air flow turbo pressure and a few other readings)to make sure everything was as it should be then re did me a map(estimated 150bhp) and now the car absolutely flys i am well chuffed with what he has done with my car and couldnt have asked for a better service from such a top bloke and the speed he did it all aswell and the price. Craigs map has since been tested on a rolling road and produced 151BHP. This can be seen in the dyno results section.

power delivery is smooth, and there is alot of low down power too. smoke is a bit dense out of the back, but thats only because i havent had any chance to turn the turbo up yet, and i made it clear that smoke levels were of no concern of mine.. so i expect it to fly a little more soon.
